iLife V50 is a budget model of the brand. This is a stripped down version of the iLife V5s Pro. Differs in the absence of a water container for automated floor cleaning. It is designed for wet cleaning, but requires hand-wetting the napkin. This simplification has reduced the cost of the vacuum cleaner by almost half without changing key functions. We will consider the equipment and capabilities in detail in the review.
Appearance
A robot vacuum cleaner with an ideal round shape with a diameter of 30 cm and a height of 8.1 cm has a relatively low weight - 2.24 kg. The edges are beveled downwards, making it easier to overcome obstacles.
The iLife V50's white body is set off with a silver backing for a striking appearance. Almost the entire top panel is occupied by the dust collector cover, edged with a tinted insert. To open it, press the housing in the place marked with the inscription Push. Above the cover there is a button for turning on the vacuum cleaner. Next to it are indicators that notify about the operating condition.
On the side circumference, there is a bumper for collision protection, sensors for detecting obstacles and a port that allows it to find a charging station. On the back side there are outlets, a socket for connecting to the mains and a button for turning on / off the vacuum cleaner. Below are located:
- two wide wheels on the sides;
- small wheel at the front for easy maneuverability;
- two side brushes;
- sensors for detecting changes in floor level;
- contacts for setting up the station;
- suction hole;
- place to fix the napkin.
Specifications
ILife V50 technical parameters:
- working area: 150 sq.m;
- dust collection method: cyclone filter;
- garbage container capacity: 0.3 l;
- power: 15 W;
- operating modes: 5;
- there is a timer;
- control: remote control;
- base installation: automatic;
- noise: 68 dB.
The vacuum cleaner autonomously cleans up within 110 minutes. This is provided by a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery. It takes 280 minutes to recharge.
Functionality
The Robot Vacuum Cleaner handles a wide variety of debris, including wool, and is designed to dry clean any type of floor. There is no turbo brush above the suction opening, which saves from the problem of hair winding on it, and increases the suction power. The side brushes help cover a large area as they sweep up debris and guide it towards the hole. It is sent to the dust collector, where it is screened out using filters, one of which is designed to filter out the smallest particles and allergens.
You can attach a napkin to the bottom for scrubbing the floor or wet wiping. In the second case, it should be moistened with water. The robot can move along several trajectories, depending on the selected program:
- Automatic. The vacuum cleaner moves in a convenient way, according to the environment and the area of the room.
- Point. Designed for cleaning a dirty area at high power. The robot moves in a spiral only within an area of 1 sq. M.
- Cleaning corners.The device moves along the perimeter (along the walls), bypassing the furniture.
- According to the timer. The vacuum cleaner automatically turns on at the set time and cleans the floor itself.
- Manual The user himself chooses the path of promotion, adjusts the trajectory and directs to the necessary sections.
Management takes place with the remote control. To select any program, first you need to enable the first, which can be done with a button on the case. After completing the cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner independently goes to the station to replenish the charge. It can also be charged from the network via the adapter.
Equipment
In a beautiful white box, the iLife V50 manufacturer put:
- vacuum cleaner;
- base;
- Power Supply;
- remote control with two batteries;
- additional side brushes;
- two spare filters;
- two napkins and fasteners for their installation on the bottom;
- instruction.
Each element of the kit is packed in its own bag and placed in the appropriate compartment.
Advantages and disadvantages
In the review, we examined the functionality of the iLife V50. Information can be summarized by listing the advantages and disadvantages. Among the first distinguish:
- nice design;
- rich equipment;
- sufficient suction power for high-quality floor cleaning;
- capacious battery, long operating time;
- optimal set of operating modes;
- the possibility of wiping the floor with a damp cloth;
- high-quality two-level filtering;
- automatic installation on the docking station (which is rare for this price segment).
Disadvantages:
- not always clear movement algorithm;
- does not clean near the base;
- no virtual wall;
- small capacity of the container, which requires frequent emptying;
- the wet cleaning function is ineffective (the rag quickly dries and dries, it needs to be moistened and changed manually).
The cost of the robot is only $ 95. Among the budget models, the iLife V50 occupies a worthy place.
