Each manufacturer of robotic vacuum cleaners is trying to introduce a new model with wider potential. The Chinese company Chuwi mass-produced in 2018 the iLife A7 model with an improved cleaning system and a refined design. In the review, we consider the capabilities of the robot vacuum cleaner, its technical characteristics and the difference from other models in the A line.
Appearance
The robot is a standard round shape with a diameter of 32 cm and a height of 7.6 cm. It weighs 2.6 kg. The case is plastic in black. The top of the vacuum cleaner is glossy with sparkles, which improves its appearance and emphasizes the originality of execution. Here, almost in the center, there are five control buttons and a display, forming an oval control panel. Below you can see the key that opens the trash bin.
On the side surface in front there is a soft bumper that extends 1 cm beyond the contour of the device. Obstruction sensors are mounted in it. A little further visible is the power button, as well as a place to connect an external power adapter. On the bottom there are:
- two leading side wheels and a front swivel roller;
- two side brushes;
- main brush;
- contacts for installation on the base;
- battery compartment with cover;
- the bottom of the garbage container;
- height control sensors.
Specifications
- dust collector type: cyclone filter;
- waste bin: 0.6 l;
- installation on charging: automatic;
- power consumption: 22 W;
- suction force: 500 Pa (maximum up to 1000 Pa);
- noise: 68 dB.
The robot receives power from the Li-Ion battery (2600 mAh). Autonomously, it works 120-150 minutes, recovery to a full charge - 300 minutes.
Functionality
The iLife A7 vacuum cleaner cleans any floor coverings, including carpets, due to CyclonePower Cleaning technology, which ensures the coordinated action of three elements. Thoughtfully sized side brushes sweep even small debris and dust towards the suction port. Turbo brush perfectly cleans not only hard surfaces, but also carpet. Adjustable suction power with great force and speed sends the collected dirt through the hole in the dust collector. There is triple air filtration using the main, cotton and HEPA filters.
The robot works according to the following programs:
- Automatic. The vacuum cleaner itself chooses the order of movement.
- Local. The purification of a certain area occurs along a spiral path. In this case, the device must be brought to the right place and turned on there.
- Classical The robot passes along the perimeter, and then proceeds to clean the rest of the territory.
- Manual The user manages the movement.
You can control the vacuum cleaner with the remote control or from a smartphone, after installing the desired application. Buttons on the case also allow you to select a mode and schedule. A smooth movement of the robot provides a set of sensors that sensitively pick up an obstacle on the way or change of height. Having finished the program, the vacuum cleaner independently goes to the charging station.
Equipment
The delivery set is presented in a branded box, which contains:
- robot;
- charging station;
- power adapter;
- remote controller;
- two sets of side brushes;
- turbo brush;
- spare HEPA filter;
- brush to clean the filter;
- instruction.
Advantages and disadvantages
Benefits of iLife A7:
- attractive design;
- small size;
- high-quality assembly;
- several autonomous working modes;
- cleaning of any surfaces;
- high absorption capacity;
- three stages of air purification;
- several methods of remote control;
- the ability to schedule work.
Disadvantages:
- does not wipe the floor with a rag;
- lack of a virtual wall;
- does not make a card;
- the application does not describe the current cleaning moment;
- noisy in turbo mode.
The price of the device is $ 200. And the correction of these shortcomings would lead to a significant increase in the cost of the model. For its price segment, the robot efficiently and effectively performs its main function and is distinguished by good technical equipment.
