Replacing the drain hose on AEG, Bosch and Siemens washers
To get closer to the place of fastening of the drain element in cars of this category, it is worth resorting to the dismantling of the front panel.
- Remove the clamp and remove the manhole cuff from the front of the washing machine.
- Take out the dispenser.
- Unfasten the decorative panel next to the base.
- Pour the remaining water through the pump filter by spreading the absorbent cloth underneath.
- Remove the bolts securing the front panel to the washing machine body (1 at the top and 2 at the bottom).
- Bend the bottom of the panel towards you, pull down and unfasten the entire panel.
- Remove the wiring from the lock of the hatch located on the panel.
Dismantling the old and installing a new hose
- After gaining access to the inside of the machine, we unfasten the clamp from the tube and dismantle the hose from the drain system.
- We mark the points of attachment of the factory element, unfasten it from the walls of the case and take it out.
- We tightly insert the new tube into the place of the old one, press it with the help of clamps.
- Start the drain hose on the walls of the machine, attach it to the body and bring it out.
- It is necessary to correctly connect the outlet end of the tube to the sewer communications and test both ends for leaks.

In machines of this group, access to the attachment point of a failed hose is through the bottom.
- Unfasten the basement covering the pump filter.
- Pour out the remaining water by carefully unscrewing the filter.
- Move the washing machine away from the wall and tilt it back so that it rests against the wall.
- Having gained access to the drain hose, disconnect it from the drain system and loosen the clamps with pliers.
- Having noted the location of the factory drain part in the inner part of the housing, unfasten it and take it out. So that nothing interferes with dismantling, it is worthwhile to additionally remove the upper wall of the washing machine.
- Install the replacement element and carry out assembly work in the opposite order.
- Connect the pipe to the sewer lines and test both ends of it for leaks.
Replacing the drain hose on the Electrolux and Zanussi washing machines
In devices of this category, in order to gain access to the internal space, it is necessary to correctly dismantle the back panel, since the bottom of these washing machines is almost always solid, and the panel in front cannot be dismantled. This is the only way to replace the drain hose.
Rear panel disassembly
- Unfasten the upper wall of the washing machine, for which it is necessary to unscrew the 2 fixing bolts from the rear panel, remove the cover, bending it back and dismantling it.
- Unscrew the 4 self-tapping screws in the upper part, then 2 on the side (located under the plugs) and another 2-3 in the lower part.
- Remove the plastic fastener for the intake valve from the rear wall and carefully remove the rear panel.
Detaching and mounting the drain hose
- When the back of the washing machine is detached, you can get to all the details of the device without exception. Then you need to pour out the remaining water using the drain pipe, tilting it lower and placing a bucket or cloth under it.
- Find the fasteners of the drain element and disassemble them by stretching the clamp.
- Detach the handset from the case fasteners, immediately noting where they are.
- To change the drain hose correctly, insert the replacement element instead of the factory one and attach it with a clamp.
- It is necessary to connect the free end of the hose to the sewer lines and make sure that all joints are tight.
- Assemble the back wall in the opposite sequence.
Replacing the drain hose on a vertical type washing machine
In order to replace a broken drain hose in machines of vertical type laundry machines, as a rule, you just need to dismantle the side panel.
- To remove the side wall, unscrew the fixing bolts from the end of the rear panel, unscrew 1 bolt in the end, front and basement. Slide the side panel toward the back wall, push it down and unfasten.
- Having got to the place of attachment of the drain elements, it is necessary to stretch the clamp and remove it.
- Detach the handset from the cabinet and remove it from the washing machine. Then you need to replace the pipe and connect it to the sewer communications.
- Installation is in the opposite sequence.
