- You can't wash them too often. Washing wool products is considered optimal no more than once every six months. Yes, don't be surprised! Therefore, it is most rational to have several woolen things in the wardrobe and put them on in turn.
- Small spots that may form on things are best wiped off in a dry way. That is, just rub the dirty area with a brush.

- It is best to wash them by hand. Or, in a typewriter, but on a gentle mode for wool, excluding soaking and spinning.
- You can wash such things in water 30-35 degrees, not higher and not lower.

- Cannot be washed with ordinary powder. You only need a special detergent for washing woolen products.
- Soaking is not necessary, in any case.

- Dark, shedding, woolen items should be washed in water, adding three tablespoons of vinegar to seven liters, approximately. The acid will keep the color from washing out.
- Do not wash white items often from wool. They turn yellow from this.
- To whiten a white, woolen thing that has turned yellow with age, soak it in water with the addition of hydrogen peroxide for several hours. A teaspoon of peroxide goes to a liter of water.

How to dry woolen clothes properly
Remember that you cannot squeeze and twist such things strongly. You can, slightly crush, and then put the thing in a terry towel and get wet. It will absorb enough moisture and will not damage the structure.
Wet things cannot be pulled by sleeves or other parts; they instantly deform.
Hanging on hangers or clothespins is also impossible. Dry only in horizontal form. That is, lay out the thing on the table or floor, placing a dry towel under it, which must be changed periodically as it gets wet. Moreover, it is also impossible to take out the scorching sun, as, if you remember, the wool is afraid of high temperatures. It doesn't matter if it is water or other sources. The product dries in a day or two, depending on the air temperature in the room.

What to do if your thing still "sat down"
It happens that your household, in an attempt to help, took and washed your favorite sweater on their own. And having pulled it out, they found that he sat down on several sizes ...
What can I do? Shouting and getting angry at the assistants is useless, the job has already been done. Let's try, nevertheless, to save the spoiled thing.
If your thing "sat down" quite a bit, and you noticed this almost immediately, we recommend soaking it in cold water. Let it soak there for fifteen to twenty minutes. This should save the situation.
The best way to stretch a hat that has shrunk is to put it on a glass jar.
If you notice that the shrunken item is already dry, then ordinary soaking will no longer work. You will need to soak it in cold water, with the addition of hydrogen peroxide, at the rate of 2 tablespoons per ten-liter volume of water. After you put it on a towel, stretch it gently, in different directions, with your hands.
If, however, all these methods did not help, then you will have to give the thing to someone who is smaller than you in volumes! He'll be happy and that's a plus.
How to turn shrinkage properties into a plus
In fact, there are undoubted advantages to the property of wool to sit down! If you wore a sweater for a long time, then, of course, it stretched out and lost its shape. And, if sweaters made of other materials can only be thrown away, then from wool - they can be saved!
Wash them simply in water about 50-60 degrees, and then rinse with cool water.
