All these innovations help the device to take its rightful place in the market of household household cleaners. In today's review, we will take a closer look at the features and functionality of Ecovacs DeeBot DM88.
Appearance
Like most similar devices, the robot has a round shape measuring 34x34x7.5 cm and weighs 4.2 kg. The body is made of high quality plastic. The top panel of the device is almost entirely occupied by the dust compartment cover. A little higher is the control button. On the side surface in front there is a soft touch bumper that protects the device from collisions with obstacles. On the bottom of the vacuum cleaner are:

You can control the device with buttons on the case or remotely: from the remote control or from a smartphone by installing the Ecovacs application on it. The device selects its own route. During operation in automatic mode (random trajectory), it performs cleaning by moving straight and bypassing obstacles. But the user can use the remote control to program the path of movement. Then the robot starts to ride back and forth, collecting all the dust on the way, and finishes the job by driving around the perimeter.
Built-in sensors monitor the presence of obstacles and warn of a change in height, the appearance of a threshold or stairs. Thanks to new features, the vacuum cleaner makes certain movements to improve the quality of its work. Smart Move technology makes the device imitate the movements of a person while cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, and Smart Motion - cleans carpets from stains.
When a problem occurs, the robot notifies you with a voice message, and a flashing red light lights up in the "AUTO" button. Wet floor cleaning is automated. When connecting the unit and a rag, water is supplied to it for constant wetting.
The timer helps to make a cleaning plan by pre-selecting the time according to the days of the week or on the same day at different hours.
