An excellent assistant in the kitchen is a dishwasher. She helps to quickly wash the plates and cutlery after a family dinner. The principle of their operation and design features are similar to washing units. They are connected only to the cold water supply system, and they heat the water themselves. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the selected modes are started. If the dishwasher does not heat water, then this indicates the presence of breakdowns. Measures must be taken to restore the technique.
The dishwasher does not heat the water - causes of malfunctions
If the water stays cold, then the machine simply will not be able to wash the dishes well. Moreover, in some cases, the washing process itself simply does not start, since the control system does not receive a signal from the sensors.
Causes of dishwasher malfunctions:
- the heating element (TEN) itself has failed;
- the thermostat does not regulate the temperature correctly;
- various elements of the control system are not working properly.
This is a fairly common problem that service center specialists face. There are not many common causes leading to such a defect. This is usually due to either malfunctioning sensors and thermostats, or a breakdown of the heating element. Over time, it may simply burn out or become scaled. Manufacturers themselves tell why this happens with the dishwasher and what to do in this case.

The water does not heat up in the dishwasher - diagnosing problems
Despite the fact that problem-solving techniques have been developed for a long time, it is still recommended to carry out a full diagnosis and check various options. In rare cases, it happens that seemingly third-party breakdowns actually lead to the failure of thermostats and heating elements. Why this happens, only specialists can say after a thorough examination.
There are several other options worth checking out:
- the equipment may be connected incorrectly or with irregularities;
- there is a blockage in the water pipes or filters, so the water simply does not fill;
- the dishwashing mode is incorrectly selected or the settings are incorrectly set;
- The pressure sensor has failed.
During the washing process, water circulates inside, and this process is monitored by a pressure sensor. If it is faulty, then the circulation does not stop, and the water simply does not have time to heat up to the desired temperature.

The dishwasher does not heat the water - what should I do?
Often, you can determine the reasons yourself. At the very least, this will be able to help the specialists who will directly deal with the repair and explain why the equipment has failed.
To diagnose, you need to do the following:
- check if the equipment is connected correctly, and which modes are selected;
- see if water flows into the tank;
- does the machine turn on in the normal washing mode;
- check for stagnant water inside the tank.
In normal operation, water must be constantly circulated between the tank and the additional tank. In the process, the heating element maintains the desired temperature. If the water stops circulating, then this indicates problems with the pressure sensor, or with filters. Check for clogged debris filter and clean if necessary.
If, during normal inspection, the water circulates normally and does not stagnate excessively inside the machine, and also drains out at the end of the wash, then the problem with heating is associated with more serious damage. In this situation, the thermal sensor and control module should be checked. The problem is common enough that you usually just need to replace it.
